Q: Tell us an interesting fact about you.

ZT: Since I was a young adult, I spent most of my time travelling or planning my trips. I have visited remote places such as Tonga and Pitcairn. For one year and a half, I’ve lived in Moorea, which is a small island in the middle of the pacific ocean.

Q: What are your other interests asides from programming?

ZT: I’m in love with people and their culture. The main reason for my travelling is to get to know different ways of living our lives.

Q: What is one word that best describes you?

ZT: My partner suggested touchy, but I would like to be described as easy-going.

Q: How did you become part of Hive Power?

ZT: I was doing civil service back in 2019 for SUPSI ISAAC, where Hive Power originated from. The team was working on the LIC Project and needed someone focused on the front end and infrastructure. After a few weeks that I was there, Gianluca proposed joining Hive Power officially as the first employee.

It was such a great opportunity! Working in an interesting field with more than competent people.

I had already planned to move to the other side of the world. Luckily, everyone on the team agreed to hire me as a remote worker.

Q: What has been the most challenging part of your work with Hive Power?

ZT: Being a completely remote worker with 12 hours difference made my life a lot harder.

The biggest challenge was not having fixed working hours. I had to learn how to balance the time between work and life, and without the usual time boundaries, that was very hard for me.

Things got better with time, though; now I’m at a Zero hour timezone difference!

Q: What fun activities do you have planned for the holidays?

ZT: We plan to spend some days visiting the Sahara from the Morocco part.

Q: Do you have some books/blogs to recommend to our readers?

ZT: I used to be an avid reader, but I sadly lost a bit of that habit in the last few years. I’m trying to get back on track, but most of my readings today are composed of documentations and Stackoverflow.
