A report by epsog stated that the German company - Siemens Energy in Lithuania and Fluence Energy had won an international tender for the procurement launched by Energy Cells for the system installation services and energy storage technology. The agreements are worth a total of EUR 109 million.This involves maintenance services for 15 years after installing, designing, and installing four transmission energy systems totalling 200 Megawatt power and 200 Megawatt-hours capacity by November 2022.The design of the energy storage system is expected to be completed in February 2022 and become operational in November of the same year.
This is a 100 MW solar plant project kicked off by Iberdrola and located in Ciudad Real, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It is expected to have a rated battery storage capacity of 20 MWh, and it will be complemented with a Hydrogen power plant.Iberdrola has described an investment of 150 million euros, with the projection of off-shooting greenhouse gas emissions of 48,000tCO2/year and creating about 700 jobs with implementing this power plant project.
