It's golden!

For many, it might seem like a small achievement, but for us, it is a huge milestone that rewards us for the effort we put in every day to make a positive change for a better energy future.

Indeed, we are very proud to celebrate with our partners the winning of the Watt d'Or 2023 for the Lugaggia Innovation Center project.

This project was launched in March 2019 by a consortium composed of the Azienda Elettrica di Massagno (AEM) SA , University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland and the Swiss companies Hive Power, Optimatik AG and Landis+Gyr, in collaboration with the Capriasca municipality.

The project aims to promote an experimental self-consumption energy community called Lugaggia Innovation Community, linking the Lugaggia kindergarten with 18 neighbouring houses and five photovoltaic plants. The exchange of energy within the community complies with existing laws regulating self-consumption communities.
