HARMONISE is an innovative, scalable initiative that supports the transition of traditional urban districts into Positive Energy Districts (PEDs)—neighborhoods that generate more energy than they consume. By integrating renewable energy sources, intelligent devices, and secure digital technologies such as fog computing and blockchain-based energy transactions, the project optimizes local energy use, supports clean mobility, and strengthens the European Super Grid.
The mission is to drive the transition towards smart, green cities by implementing hierarchical and agile energy management systems that optimize resource utilization and promote sustainability.
Designed for cities across Europe, HARMONISE offers a comprehensive solution that improves energy management, reduces carbon emissions, and encourages community participation. Dedicated tools and applications promote energy awareness, entrepreneurship, and new business models by enabling residents and businesses to actively engage in local energy networks.
Hive Power enhances energy optimization in Positive Energy Districts by applying advanced algorithms to manage electricity, heating, and mobility efficiently. Its integrated approach reduces waste, maximizes renewables, and balances energy supply and demand in real time—supporting the creation of smart, sustainable communities.
